Highly digestible ingredients will reduce the likelihood that undigested nutrients are transported further down into the large bowel where they can cause undesired flatulence and loose stools.Adding the right amount and type of fibre to your Cavalier’s diet results in good stool quality and helps keep the gut regular. Beet pulp is natural fibre sourced from sugar beets that provides bulk and can be broken down by gut bacteria.
FOS (fructooligosaccharides) is a prebiotic fibre that promotes the growth of healthy gut bacteria. In the presence of FOS, beneficial bacteria can thrive and multiply, crowding out potentially harmful ones.FOS also helps support the local immune system in the gut. The intestines represent a key part of the immune system; invading viruses, bacteria and parasites are recognized and eliminated. Helping keep the gut healthy is therefore of utmost importance.
FOS(Fructooligosaccharides) promote the growth of good gut bacteria, while beet pulp provides energy for the intestinal cells. Both promote a healthy digestive tract and efficient food processing.

While all dogs need good dental care, dental problems can be more prevalent in small breeds like the Cavalier, because of the smaller oral cavity and large teeth relative to jaw size. Your Cavalier’s beautifully feathered coat needs regular grooming, good health care and quality nutrition to keep it at its very best and show off his elegant proportions. Skin cells, which regenerate every 22 days, depend on optimal nutrition. Protein is needed for the coat, which is made up of 95% protein. Minerals such as zinc and copper help in the synthesis of collagen and keratin.
